February 2013 Glossybox│USA

glossybox feb 1

Glossybox ($.21.00) theme for february was International Style, inspired by fashion weeks all over the world. The box included brands I've never heard/seen before, excluding Bvlgari. I wasn't too impressed with the nail wraps, they seem very cheap and I won't be wearing them any time soon. As for the rest of the products I liked the scent of the soap, the shimmering powder and the lipgloss. Though I would have loved to see something Valentine's related, the box is nice. I noticed in every box there's always a stand up brand and a few indie ones, I wish all boxes were like the August 2012 box, so many goodies & well-known brands! February's GlossyMag was the biggest issue they've had, it included places to go in different countries, quite interesting.

  1. I got the same box. Different lip gloss and shimmer colors, but the same nail strips. I wasn't impressed with this months box either.

  3. It's always a bit hit and miss with beauty boxes, but there are some lovely products in there- the lip gloss definitely looks great, would love to see a review :) x

    1. Yes. The lipgloss is a deep rosewood colour. The texture is quite thick and a bit sticky, it has a light vanilla scent which fades eventually. Has a good pigmentation and wear, lasts about 1-2 hours on my lips. The packaging is nice, reminds me of Smashbox lipglosses, it even comes with a rubberized black cap. LiSi Cosmetics doesn't test on animals and is made in the US. The retail price is $.6.90 and comes in 9 shades. Hope that helps :) xo

    1. I believe most Glossybox customers are looking forward for makeup products instead of hair/skincare, so I'd say they're going in the right direction when it comes to the selection of products. I find these products usable, wearable and affordable (excluding Bvlgari, of course) The quality of both the lipgloss and shimmer powder are not bad at all, but I just think they'd never be my favourite products. xo
