Current Favourite Hair Products│Haircare

M y hair has been through a lot this year, I had it bleached and then I went silver, then lilac, then pastel pink, then medium brown. And now, I'm just trying to grow it out. Seriously, don't bleach your hair! Is the worst thing you can do it, even if you have the best hair dresser, most expensive products, your hair will be damaged. Mine got damaged, and I'd probably do it all over again, it grows back anyway :3 Being so desperate to get it healthy, I tried a million products. Trial and error, that's what it's all about! I have gone through a few tubs of deep conditioners, leave-in creams and what not. When I finally got it back to medium brown I went to a salon and got a brazilian keratin treatment by INOAR and  my hair improved so much, then I cut out the fried parts and now it looks healthier :) I'm currently loving this products and it's lower maintenance now, which is a relief!

Redken Extreme Anti-snap: This is a leave in treatment which helps fight breakage and split ends. It's designed for extremely fragile or weakened hair. It has helped my hair tons! I have a very weakened area on the back of my head and using this after shampooing made it smooth and less prone to breakage.
OGX Argan Oil of Morroco: I use this oil after shampoo in my whole hair, it helps it dry faster for some reason and gives shine to my hair. Plus it's quite inexpensive and great quality!
Amika Oil Treatment: I mostly use this oil as a finishing product when my hair is already dry or styled. It gives shine, eliminates frizz and it smells soooo good! I also like to add a few drops of this oil to the Amika Nourishing Mask, it's like a bomb to my hair!
OGX Anti-breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo & Conditioner: After getting done the aforementioned treatment by Inoar, I was advised to use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, this line has keratin protein to increase elasticity and argan oil to condition the hair. I don't even need a deep conditioner when I'm using this combo!
Redken All Soft Heavy Cream: I leave this mask on for about 20 minutes and apply heat, my hair looks and feels extra soft! I have used almost all of it, it's that great!

Klorane Pomegranate Conditioner│Review & Photos

klorane 1

Hello lovelies! I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season, I'm enjoying every single day since I'm almost done with school and last week I went on a well deserved vacation to Cuba! I'll be posting pictures of my trip in case you want to come back and see them and read about my experience :)

I have a hair care post today, it's been a while since I posted anything else than makeup.
The Klorane Conditioner with pomegranate ($.14.00) is the BEST conditioner I've tried this year! Though I have naturally straight hair, I need to detangle it everyday so I use either conditioner or a hair cream on towel-dried hair. I was really interested in this one because I love love love pomegranate. From Vitamin Water XXX to pomegranate juice to lip balms (Burt's Bees are my favourite) and the fruit itself!
Klorane has different tube colours to for each hair type, this one is for colour treated hair. Pomegranate helps and repairs damaged hair weakened by colour treatments and it's made without sulfate and sodium chloride. I noticed it softened the texture of my hair and it looked really shiny and healthy. Klorane says: the effectiveness of our patented pomegranate extract has been scientifically proven:  hair color lasts an average twice as long. I still haven't been able to prove this, since I've only used it a few times. However, color-fading is something that will always occur no matter how many treatments I apply, it might be slower with this, but still. I really like this conditioner because it leaves my hair soft and supple. I'd recommend using this if you have dyed your hair, if not there are other types that could help your current hair condition.

Have you tried Klorane hair products?

Review: L'Occitane Aromachologie Soothing Concentrated Mask

loccitane masque 4

L'occitane Hair Concentrated Mask for Sensitive Scalp ($.26.00) is a relief for sensitive/ itchy scalp. I've experienced itchy scalp and itchy bumps recently and I started using baby shampoo which temporarily stopped the itching. Soon after I discovered this amazing mask, it's enriched with L'occitane famous essential oils and soothing extracts that immediately relieves itching and tautness. I stopped washing my hair everyday too, like some of you lovely ladies recommended. I use this mask twice a week and feel my scalp is hydrated and healthier. After shampoo I part my hair into sections and apply it directly to my scalp, it comes with a very convenient applicator. I leave it for 2-5 minutes and apply conditioner on the lengths at the same time. The itchiness is gone after application and through the day, and my hair condition has also improved since I started using this product. It smells like lemongrass with a hint of citrus scent, I love it and it lasts all day long. If you suffer from sensitive/itchy scalp like me, I absolutely recommend you give this mask a try!

Review: L'occitane Aromachologie Radiance & Colour Care Shampoo

shampoo loccitane 1

You see, I used to dye my hair a lot in my teenage years. Black, red, pink, purple and even blonde highlights! It was fun but now that I think about it, maybe it was a bit of a mistake. Though my hair hasn't been dyed for about a year now, you can still catch the colours. As a result of dying my hair so many colours now I have natural red highlights. I wonder if that's possible or it's just how my hair always been. The point is, I've always tried taking proper care of it. And even now that my hair is growing into it's natural colour from the roots I take care of the ends. I recently re-discovered L'occitane Aromachologie Radiance and Colour Care line (Shampoo $.22 for 8.4 fl oz.). All products have natural origin ingredients, which could seem like you need more product because you don't see enough foam in your hands. But really, you only need a bit to wash your whole scalp and hair (even if it's long like mine!). Having tried the Repairing Shampoo before, I thought these magical 5 essential oils would be a good idea. And it was.

shampoo loccitane 2

I suffer from itchy scalp sometimes, and I haven't discovered what it is that causes it. But when I use sulfate-free and moisturizing shampoos this doesn't happen. So I'm guessing it's dryness. This shampoo is amazing, it smells so good! I'd say floral because of all the essential oils (geranium, palmarosa, bergamot, rosemary and cedar). My hair and scalp feel so fresh and clean when I use this, and the lovely scent stays all day long. The best part? It can be used every single day! (Yes, I wash my hair everyday!). My hair shines and has a nice volume to it which is nice because I have naturally straight hair. Sometimes I wish I had curly hair, but don't curly haired gals want straight hair too?
I got a few samples of the conditioner and the masque and all three work wonderful together! If you're looking for a colour care shampoo for your dyed hair look no further cause this is it!

Have you tried this shampoo? Do you colour your hair? If so, how do you take care of it?

Review: Lush R&B

r&b

Hello lovelies! How is July going so far? Is your hair doing alright with the weather? Mine has been great thanks to this product! It's Lush R&B. A best seller, and i bet all of you ladies have tried it before! Anyway, i wanted to do a review about it. I have been using this product since April, but not every day, i like to alternate different products in my hair. The texture of R&B is mayonnaise-like, and the smell of it is what i like the most! Some of the ingredients are oat milk, avocado butter, olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil, jasmine and orange flower. I don't really know how to describe it, but it smells amazing. Agree?

r&b1

I use it after i take a shower on towel dried hair, i don't use too much tough. The first time i rubbed a whole lot and it left my hair feeling a bit oily. So be careful not to apply too much, a small quantity is more than enough!
My hair tends to be a little frizzy, so this turned out amazing for me! Also it conditions my sometimes-dry hair.

What do you girls think about R&B? Do you have any other recommendations?
