Hello lovely readers! Firstly I would like to apologize and explain the reason of my lack of posts and poor performance as a beauty blogger. Well, January hasn't been the best month for me regarding my health. I had 3 different illnesses 3 weeks straight, I was a total mess and almost had to visit the emergency room. Surprisingly, I survived all 3 at home thanks to my mom (who is a doctor!). Nothing major really, but I rather not go into details. However, it did knocked me down and I stayed in bed most days. Honestly, it was terrible!
Secondly, I'm super happy now that I'm feeling better and healthy! I noticed that during those 3 weeks my skin got in a really bad condition 'cause I wasn't really taking care of it. As soon as I got better I re-scheduled my beauty regime. I'm currently in love with Antipodes products, these are mostly natural skincare products enriched with lots of organic ingredients.
All 2012 I drooled over the Aura Manuka Honey Mask ($.39.00) and being one of the most talked-about and popular products on the blogosphere, who wouldn't? This gorgeous mask is packed with manuka honey, pohutukawa antioxidants, vanilla pod and mandarin. It delivers a deeply moisturizing, cleansing and anti-oxidizing treatment. I think it is meant to be used, or it can be used rather everyday because it's not harsh and contains no harmful ingredients. However I prefer to use it in times when my skin really needs either a deep clean or a deep moisturize. The mask is very light and it has a semi-sweet scent with a hint of citric scent (mandarin). I apply a generous amount all over my face and neck and leave it for about 15-20 minutes. I wash it off with warm water and when in contact with water it gets very creamy, it doesn't create any type of foam. The results are amazing, my skin feels clean and moisturized, it doesn't leave any type of greasy residue. I do apply moisturizer afterwards, Vanilla Pod Moisturizing Day Cream ($.48.00). In general, I really like using organic and natural skincare and I think it's perfect for younger skins.
Aww sounds like January wasn't much fun, I hope February is better!! I'd love to try that Manuka Honey Mask. And I still haven't watched Girls... sounds like a really good show!
